During our trip to UAE, we stayed in Dubai for two days to see my close friends and families. I sent a message to Lulett and we have decided to meet at Dubai Mall in downtown Dubai. There in the food court amidst the noise and pack of diners, we have a very good chat and we were able to meet her sister Claire, nanny, father, and her pretty-adorable baby girl Jiana Liz for the first time.
Lulett and I hail from the city of Surigao in the Philippines. We both graduated from Silliman University in Dumaguete. I guess she is two or three years older than me. But our age gap didn’t matter because Lulett is bubbly and free-spirited person.
I remember in our college days, we have our local group called “Surigao Deep” where she was the president and during her term she have made a lot of accomplishments. Because of our group activities, my college days were really fun and exciting. A very sweet, active, and dedicated woman. She is very friendly and accommodating.
We cut our communication when she graduated and got married. When only see each other again when I went back to Surigao to work after I finished my college degree. At that time, she was a manager of Penshoppe. Then again years have passed that I knew she was living in Dubai and happily married.
Just last year, we were reunited gain when we had our escapade at Yas Waterworld. It was the first time I met her husband Jay, who happened to be the first cousin of my aunt Sonia, and Jay’s cousin Nova. The funny thing was that we enjoyed all the crazy water rides in the park and she didn’t have any idea that she was pregnant at that time. The whole day of our getaway we have a lot of things to talk about – life, success, challenges, and even families. We continue our conversation while we were at Ikea in Abu Dhabi taking our dinner.
Although it was a quick meet up, I am glad to see Lulett before she moved to Qatar to join her husband Jay, who have bee recently offered a job. She even invited us to visit them in Doha once we get a chance. I instantly said “yes” because it is my plan to go there and meet my cousins and friends as well. When will it be? Perhaps this year or next year.
God Bless you Lulett and family! May you all have a wonderful life in Doha… we will miss you all.
Hope you like this post about treasuring friendship and wonderful people.
See you next time!
Lots of Love,
Riah – the Blissful Mom and Wife
