My husband celebrated his 32nd birthday last week. As my gift, I made him not just one but two different cakes! The first one is this very Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting that is so simply delicious, right?
The cake is about 1.5kilos in weight and filled and coated with cream cheese. To make the cake looks so bloody red, I used 6 teaspoons of red food coloring. The outer cover is made of crumbled cake which is the doomed part of the cake. I simply place on the blender the part of the cake that is removed after leveling and pat it on the cake with my bare hands. The result is so gorgeous!
I also use the Wilton Icing Tip #2D to create the ruffles of cream cheese frosting around the cake’s perimeter. You can also see some bits of Hershey white choco chips that add elegance to the cake. It’s a beautiful cake.
No wonder, when this cake was served on the table, most of our guests were impressed and drooling to take a bite of this creamy-moist-delicious-bloody-looking cake!
I’m grateful you came by to read this post. Watch out for the second cake!
Lots of Love,
Riah – The Happy Baker 🙂
