Before going home in the Philippines, Jesse and I made a promise to treat our parents and let them travel to many beautiful places in Misamis Oriental.
We planned for a 3-day trip, hired a bus, and headed off to El Salvador, Cagayan de Oro City, and Bukidnon. After visiting the Divine Mercy Shrine, we all decided to spend our evening at Cagayan de Oro City which is just an hour drive away.
Instead of eating at the food court, I opted for a more fancy restaurant in Limketkai Mall and we choose Gerry’s Grill Restaurant. It is pretty obvious that many people prefer the restaurant because it was full of diners when we got there. We waited for nearly 20 minutes before we were offered our table and seat.
Some seafood and fried meat were our orders. After eating, we gave a substantial money to each of our parents for shopping. Like little kids all four of them head off to the shopping section while my husband and I waited in the restaurant for an hour. When they got back, each of them carried their own shopping bags.
It’s already 10 o’clock in the evening when we departed the mall and we were looking for a good hotel in the downtown city. Then, finally after minutes of searching we settled a hotel near the capitol area.
The following morning, July 18th, we took breakfast at the hotel restaurant and got ourselves ready for an adventure ride in Dahilayan, Bukidnon.
