Welcome to

where you get to read bits of thoughts and stories that create little bliss to our own family.

We have this intention of helping people to feel good, and find a bit of peace and joy in the hectic world that we live in. We thought it couldn’t hurt to try and bring something nice into the world. It would be great if you follow us as we will continue to share musings, ideas, and practical inspirations to everyone who needs something to light up and reconnect a bit with their inner joy and zest for life.

The Philippines is famous of its crystal clear and white sand beaches.

We hail from the tropical country of the Philippines and move to the Sultanate of Oman in 2008 after being hired to teach in a Ministry College. Working and living abroad is, indeed, one of the most transforming experiences where we live on our own while being away from our families and loved ones. But, we love to push ourselves to make our life as interesting and rich as possible and making this country almost like our own second “home”.

For years God is good to us for providing His many wonderful blessings. Then in 2011, I became pregnant for the second time. For me, it’s a perfect time to chronicle our life’s journey with our new baby. Our two wonderful bundles of joy – a big boy and a little girl – are so precious that make our life more complete. We love the idea that they easily carried us with their true spirit and innocence. They are our inspiration to work harder and strive to become good parents and providers.

As a mom, I want to be hands-on and involved with my family. You will find that I share crafty and home-decorating ideas, experiences in parenting, home and lifestyle, my journey as a mom/career woman, thoughts on random, everyday life topics, family celebration, and much more. The tips and ideas I found on online are truly helpful but sometimes I try to reinvent on what I think is most appropriate for my own family. I also share our dining experiences and the many recipes that I have practiced countless times. When I became a mom, I started making homemade desserts, dishes, and cuisines for my husband and kids. Perhaps, this is a way for me to show my love to them. As they said you can get someone’s heart through their stomach.

We are currently living in Muscat, the capital of the country, where it is surrounded with barren-rocky-like Hajar Mountains. During holidays, we explore the countryside with some good friends and go camping, fishing, and sometimes simply sunbathing on the beach while relaxing and being away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. My husband and I simply love the idea of visiting and discovering the hidden natural beauty and experience the country’s rich cultural heritage. My hubby Jesse is passionate with photography which I think will eventually influence me as I also love capturing magnificent scenes and wonderful moments into still pictures. If I will pursue with photography my focus will be on people, children, and landscapes.

Then, just recently, Jesse and I celebrated our 10th year of marriage. For us, a decade of being together may not be perfect but it is truly wonderful. Yes, time flies so fast and ten years of togetherness is more than a gift and a blessing. Though there are many hard times but they are nothing compare to the joy and sweetness that we share to each other. Those are what we call the “spices of our life” and indeed have help us become of what we are today.

Eventually we will move out Muscat and find another city or be back to our home country. Either way, we’re up for continuing the adventure that we all sail on.
