I was invited by Kathleen, one of my high school friends, to her birthday celebration at Geckos Disco and Videoke Bar in Surigao City. Most of our “berks”, a short name for our barkadas were all there for some cold beer while having the singing session in one of the videoke rooms of Geckos.
Four ladies came – Leslie, Me, Kathleen, Marsha, and Gemma – while the six boys were there – Kathleen’s boyfriend, my husband Jesse, Ysrael, Anthony, Atty. Jeffrey, and Rolly.
We took our turn to sing our favorite song while savoring some baked peanuts and sizzling meat over cold water and ice-cold beer.
The boys were a bit drunk and enjoyed their time singing.
While the girls were able to manage and still compose ourselves while taking so many pictures.
We didn’t notice that it was already 2 o’clock in the early morning when we ended our gigs. I guess my body clock still with Oman because I didn’t felt sleepy until around 4 AM and I woke up feeling lethargic and groggy at 11 AM.
