On July 23rd, we held the joint birthday party for our children. It was a post birthday for Andrei and advanced birthday for Anyah. Prior to the event, Mama and I had a wonderful baking session where I taught her the basic baking skills. She als helped me made the cakes and sweets for my kids’ party.
The event was held at Jollibee in San Nicolas Branch, Surigao City. This fast food chain is undeniably the most favorite place among children and adults in the Philippines because of the delightful taste of their foods that cater to the palates of the Filipinos.
I prepared the cakes with Twirlie and Jollibee along with cupcakes and cake pops. The Jollibee crews were impressed to see all those sweets. They were even surprised to know that I made them all from my mom’s very own kitchen. They said that my creations were beautiful and magnificent. They even told me to open my own cake shoppe once I decided to go back to Surigao for good. Yeah! they just don’t know it will be my long term plan after working here in Oman.
The party started at 5 o’clock in the afternoon and it was attended by many of our friends, families, and former colleagues. The whole venue was jam-packed with more than 30 kids and 45 adults.
There were fun and exciting games for kids and adults along with the mascot appearance of Twirlie (the cone twirl ice cream) and Jollibee (the bee). The mascots danced and entertained the guests very well. Kids and parents took several pictures with the mascots as souvenirs.
Thank you everyone for celebrating with us and above all to God for all of His wonderful blessings. Forever we are grateful to all of you.
Lots of Love,
Riah – the lady behind Happy Baker Delights 🙂
