Actually, this plantation was once the setting of a movie of Angel Locsin and Piolo Pascual, the famous local actress and actor in the Philippines. The title of the movie is “Love Me Again” that was filmed in 2008. The story of the movie centered on the life of young lass named Arah who grow up in the farmland of Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. In this very place Arah found her childhood friend Migo who then became his boyfriend. But life’s fate tests their relationship when suddenly the ranch slowly closing down and the glory of their homeland started disappearing. When Arah’s father met an accident, she had no choice but to leave for Australia to save her family from poverty leaving behind Migo. There she worked in a ranch owned by Brian.   Arah struggled with her life in the land down under. But with the help of Inah, a local cook, she was able to survive and fulfill her dreams for her family. Meanwhile, Migo was broken-hearted and stand with his belief that there’s still hope for the ranch to regain its prosperity. Until he realized that his hopes slowly fading and going to Australia can be the best way to get back what he had lost. After many years and a simple twist of fate, Arah and Migo met again and confront each other’s unsolved past. But, undeniably, their feelings to each other resurfaced.

Well, going back to my story, ehhh… this farm is also the home of local farmers who are serving the company for many generations.

I like the style of the houses here which are dated so many years ago. It is very classic and welcoming. Too bad we have limited time, hope I can visit one of these houses and have a good chat with the local farmers.
