Hey folks! Another cake was made the other day and it was ordered by the same choco lover and my avid client Irena. She wanted to give this cake as a birthday gift to her friend Geerani.
Well, instead of creating a circle-designed cake, Irena wanted it to be in a rectangular shape that came in 9 inches by 5 inches size and weighted around 3 kilos. Quite heavy…huh!
But of course, I know how to satisfy my clients, so I keep the cake extra moist by covering it with deep dark choco frosting and with a ganache filling.
The top layer was decorated with swirl drop flowers which is a great way to add flowers quickly. I used Wilton Tip #2D in making the flower petal of Mocha Buttercream with some bits of Hershey Chocolate Chips for the flower center.
I also love to make a little custom birthday flag for my cakes: simply write a personal message on a piece of craft paper and tape it to a wooden BBQ skewer.
There were minty chocolate strips that were placed around the birthday message flag.
Simple yet elegant cake for the beautiful lady!
