Food and dining has gradually lured people to Muscat as a viable destination for those who have great appetite and even the most demanding of foodies. Today, variety of cafes and restaurants are flourishing around the city where chef’s crafted fabulous menu are boasting dozen of dishes made from carefully selected ingredients and offer fantastic cuisine from India, Turkey, Lebanon, China and Oman.
One of my favorite among these many trendy and modern in-house eateries is the T.G.I Fridays Restaurant found at the heart of the city in Al Khuwair area in the City Season Hotel building. I have been to this place numerous times and I am always delighted with their foodies.
I certainly love their menu filled with satisfying and mouth-watering American-style cuisine that are freshly prepared upon order. Added to that, the restaurant’s ultra-modern interior and fascinating colors added to its dazzling and cozy atmosphere. The interior is furnished with classic and interesting mementos including famous movie characters, athletes, singers, and anything that are highlights in the period of 70s, 80s, and 90s.
The staff and crew, who are mostly Asian and many are Filipinos, are equally friendly and accommodating. They dressed up in somewhat very unique outfit with black, white, and red colors (the signature theme colors of FRIDAYS) wearing big hats with badges and tiny caricatures placed on their bodies as accessories. And I am truly happy with the service and warmness they have extended to their customers. No wonder there are many food lovers who regularly dine in this place since it operates last year.
On the 12th day of December, along with our close pals, we all agreed to dine in together to celebrate the uniqueness and trendiness of this date (12-12-12). It was also a time for us to see each other again and get some relaxation from a week-long stretch of work.
For my family, our luscious banquet included various foodies that were shared among us. My son picked his much-loved Kids Chicken Fingers (1.500 OR) and matched with Hot Chocolate (0.900 OR).
Since my husband loves grilled-meat, the Texas Rib Eye (7.250 OR) became a top choice paired with Tropical BM Shaker (2.000 OR).
My sister preferred the Miami Cubano (5.000 OR) while I like the Friday’s Best Barbeque Ribs (6.950 OR). We both shared the Margarita Shaker drinks (2.000 OR).
All in all, we spend around 27.500 OR that is nearly 2,700 in Philippine Peso. For me, the price is comparable to its good service and delectable meals. Indeed, I am satisfied with what we are paying.
So if you are in Muscat and looking for a place to take your family and friends for a delicious dinner in a wonderful location, visit T.G.I.Fridays because they got something that will surprise you.
As they have advertised, “Great food. Killer drinks. You don’t wait till Friday to get your Friday’s”.
