(May 17, 2015) – Dubai Mall is known to be world’s visited shopping and entertainment destination. It is located at the heart of downtown Dubai adjacent to Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa – the tallest building in the world.
Just before we head back to Muscat, we tour around the mall and admire it’s ultra-modern shopping stalls to old-traditional souqs.
First, we visited the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo – the world’s largest suspended aquarium with thousands of fishes and aquatic animals.
There’s the cheesecake factory – a famous restaurant that sells signature cheesecakes of varied flavors.
We bought two slices of cheesecake in red velvet and their 30th-anniversary cheesecake flavor.
We continue walking to the Dubai Fall where you can see the so-called Freedom Divers. Truly the mall is very huge. One day is not enough to move around the place.
At the mall entrance, there’s a display of luxurious cars.
We head to the souq where you can buy traditional Arabian products like incense, perfumes, jewelry, and a lot more.
Near the souq is where you can find the skeletal remains of a huge dinosaur. Here we stay for a while and savor the cheesecakes that we bought from the cheesecake factory.
Outside Dubai Mall, you can find the Dubai Fountain, the world’s most beautiful and stunning world’s largest choreographed fountain system, developed by the same company that build the fountain in Bellagio Hotel, Nevada, USA.
Our 4-day trip was quick, but we enjoyed a lot considering that we were able to see our wonderful friends and spent precious time with them plus being able to visit tourist destinations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Lots of love,
Riah – the blissful mom and wife
