(May 17, 2015) – On our last day in Dubai, I invited my husband Jesse to run with me along Dubai Marina, where our hotel, Pearl Marina Hotel Apartments, is located. Gladly, he agreed and we started our workout at 6 o’clock in the morning.
Dubai Marina is one of the world’s largest man-made and most luxurious waterfront communities built along a two mile (3 km) stretch of Persian Gulf shoreline.
The developers excavated the desert and brought the waters of the Persian Gulf into the site of Dubai marina, creating a new waterfront.
We only run within Phase 1 where you can see the Dubai Marina Towers, Dubai Mall, and Dubai Marina Walk. There are many expatriates running along the marina.
The three of the Dubai Marina Towers are named after precious stones, Al Mass, Fairooz, and Murjan, and the other three are named after Arabic scents, Mesk, Anbar, and Al Yass.
The Dubai Mall comprises a mix of tenants including a supermarket, an entertainment area for children, shops and a six-screen Reel Cinemas.
Dubai Marina Walk is a 7 km long pedestrian walkway runs around from the start of Dubai Marina till the end of Dubai Marina, with cafés and restaurants along the waterfront, and boats moored up alongside.
There’s Dubai Metro and Tramway that provide excellent transportation to reach Dubai Marina from Downtown Dubai.
We completed a total of 5.22KM run and it was a nice workout. I thank my husband Jesse for his effort in spite of being so tired the previous day.
See yah around!
Lots of love,
Riah – the blissful mom and wife
