Pink Ombre Wedding Anniversary Cake

The pink ombre cake

The pink ombre cake

I feel so delightful to make this beautiful cake for the Wedding Anniversary of our good friend Aldieh and Cecille. This is the second cake I made for the couple since they had their celebration last year.

April 15th marked their 15 years of togetherness. The couple has been blessed with two boys: the eldest is a teenager age 13 and the youngest is a toddler age 2. The two children have a long age between because Aldieh was working overseas in the Middle East for quite a long time while Cecille and children were left behind in the Philippines. You can read the couple’s sweet story here.

Now going back to the cake. It is made of purple yam (Ube) with coconut sport (macapuno). This is a premium cake widely preferred by Filipinos.

The entire cake is coated with cream cheese filling in varying shades of pink color from light to hot pink.

On top of the cake you can see the name of Aldieh and Cecille. There’s also the red macapuno filling.

Everyone loves the cake because of its mix taste of the ube, macapuno, and cream cheese.

Happy Wedding Anniversary ALDIEH AND CECILLE…wishing you both many years of BLISSFUL MARRIAGE!
