Mommy Josephine did not only ordered the birthday cake for her adorable son Hewston but cupcakes too. A total of 280 cupcakes were delivered last July 9th at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Muscat, Oman. The little boy and his family celebrated his special day with the kids who were on summer camp.
Honestly, it was, by far, the biggest order I have for my entire baking history!
Just imagine 280 cupcakes that I have baked and decorated single-handedly. And not only that, these sweets were prepared in just two days! whew! I didn’t realized I have that power and capacity in spite of my hectic schedule at work and at home.
Well, maybe I was able to do it because, first, it’s always my priority to bring joy and happiness to everyone through my sweets creation. Second, I drew my inspiration from my kids and husband. Third, good thing my hubby was very supportive and so understanding that helped me manage the things at home especially with our two children. That way, I have dedicated most of my time with my cake and cupcakes. I felt guilty for almost neglecting my kids’ needs but I’m pretty sure their dad had covered up for me.
Well, going back to the cupcakes.. again… those were not only in one but five various flavors that kids in the summer camp surely can’t resist.
So these were the “cupcake creations” in ten batches:
Batch 1: moist choco cupcakes with buttercream and choco frosting
Batch 2: moist choco cupcakes with buttercream and choco frosting
Batch 3: moist choco cupcakes with buttercream and choco frosting
Batch 4: Red Velvet Cupcakes with cream cheese frosting
Batch 5: Red Velvet Cupcakes with cream cheese frosting
Batch 6: Buttervanilla and Red velvet cupcakes with buttercream frosting
Batch 7: Banana choco chip cupcakes with buttercream frosting
Batch 8: Buttervanilla with buttercream frosting
Batch 9: Buttervanilla with buttercream frosting
Batch 10: Cherry Cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and sweetened berries
Josephine told me that all the kids in the camp have enjoyed the cupcakes. They even took more than one piece while some have took home to share to their parents and loved ones.
Meanwhile, Hewston may not remember this special occasion but his parents have well-documented the party for him to appreciate the memories and happiness that everyone felt on that one fine afternoon later on.
Happy Birthday Hewston! Keep your dad and mom proud of you!
