The Enchanted River of Hinatuan is one of the tourist destinations in Surigao del Sur. We hired a family van and travel for six hours from Surigao City to get to the river that is known of its many enchanting charm
At noon time, swimmers are asked to leave the water because big saltwater fishes appear and feed by the local caretakers while music is being played at the background.
They have said that fairies are taking care of the whole place. That’s why the place is closed after 5 o’clock in the afternoon for everyone’s safety.
We are very lucky that when we arrived in the place there are only few tourists in the area. We enjoyed the whole time we are there.
It has been told that no one has ever reached its bottom. The water is cold and refreshing.
Gladly, I was able to conquer my fear of diving and swimming in the deepest part of the river.
Before we left the place, we took some family snapshots as souvenirs of our day out.
If want to know how the river’s looks like, watch the video below:
Hope you enjoy reading our trip as much as we do.
