The Timans are our close family friend since 2008 when they used to live in Oman. It was in 2011, that the family moved to the United Arab Emirates when Elmer got a job offer in a prestigious university in Abu Dhabi.
Since we have this wonderful family ties, we maintain the closeness and friendship even when we are distant apart. Last year, we attended the christening of their daughter Malaika Louise and baked her cake and set up the dessert buffet table. Each time we visit UAE we never fail to see them and spend days with them.
After our day trip at Rogo’s Rollercoaster Restaurant, we bid farewell to my college friends – Joan, Shaun and Elle with their son EJ – because we were expected by the Timan family to spend a night with them.
We arrived in their home while Elmer was having his pre-birthday party in the afternoon of May 15th. Actually, I made his birthday cake and cupcakes as requested by Evelyn. We delivered the sweets when we arrived in Abu Dhabi the night before.
Elmer is my former colleague. He is a genius, actually, with it comes to all the technical aspects of IT. While Evelyn and I are like sisters. We have the same ideas and outlook in life. I love chatting with her. She has a free spirit and wisdom when it comes to life expectations and beliefs.
Our children our close friends as well. Ken and Andrei (my son) are almost of the same age.
While Anyah (my daughter) and Like are three years apart.
I am so happy to see my wonderful family friends in Abu Dhabi. We are forever grateful to Elmer, Evelyn, and family for accommodating us. See you again on our next visit.
We all love you!
Lots of Love,
Riah – the Blissful Mom and Wife
